Using the Overlays
- Drag and drop an overlay into your document.
- Scale and position the light leak. (Note: The free version does not have transparent backgrounds)
- In the Layers panel (Window > Layers), set the blending mode to either Screen or Linear Dodge. Screen will give a softer effect while linear dodge will give a brighter stronger effect. If stacking multiple light leaks, we recommend using the Linear Dodge mode.
Overlay Tip: To make the light leak brighter/darker, use the Levels tool (Ctrl/Cmd+L). Drag the middle input slider to adjust the brightness.
Upgrade to the Pro Version
Unlock all 32 overlays. The overlays in the Pro version are 6000x4000px with transparent backgrounds. Upgrade now.
